My old boss/mentor/friend and a fellow foodie, Steven would say, "If you're going to Napa Valley, get a reservation at the restaurant French Laundry ." Not having failed in any of his previous recommendations, I added this recomendation of his to my list of 'Things to do when I visit the Bay Area'. This November I had a conference in San Francisco, so I took it as an opportunity to go to the restaurant. The food was wonderful in everyway, the ambience was delightful and the service was nothing I had seen before. The restaurant gave me the finest dining experience I have had to date.
