Adobe MAX 2008 From November 16th to the 19th, I attended the Adobe MAX 2008 held in San Francisco. I learned a lot of the new products, and applications I wasn't familiar to. Adobe had prepared the conference so well that the number of sessions and labs, the instructors and helpers, the 5000 thousand attendees, the breakfasts, lunches and snacks, the welcome night, it all just seemed the way it was supposed to be. But the most amazing event had to be the 'Customer Appreciation Event' they had prepared. They had De Young Museum and the recently opened California Academy of Sciences, both located in the Golden Gate Park, as venues to hold the event. In each of the venues there were bands, food, and each of the venues were open to all attendees. Click on the above picture to see the Adobe MAX 2008 Album

Schedule book My 3 day conference schedule in San Francisco was one too many sessions for me to remember all in my head of what and where and the duration. To aid finding my way to the sessions, I made a small schedule book. And while I was at it, I added in schedules other than the conference's -marked in a different color. I also put in information related right to the schedule, such as confirmation numbers, seat numbers, telephone numbers, addresses, maps, BART (San Francisco's metro system) schedule and so on. The design (based on my Google Calendar print-out) was done front and back on half letter size paper, 3 days of schedule on each side. Made our lives so much easier.

My old boss/mentor/friend and a fellow foodie, Steven would say, "If you're going to Napa Valley, get a reservation at the restaurant French Laundry ." Not having failed in any of his previous recommendations, I added this recomendation of his to my list of 'Things to do when I visit the Bay Area'. This November I had a conference in San Francisco, so I took it as an opportunity to go to the restaurant. The food was wonderful in everyway, the ambience was delightful and the service was nothing I had seen before. The restaurant gave me the finest dining experience I have had to date. I've put up some photos of mine and Joel's dishes, but there are times when 'A picture says a thousand words' rule does not apply. And even if I did have a thousand words, I don't know if I can do justice to the food. As for the service, it was excellence and pride without the

This picture was taken on November, 2006. As the snow seldom stays piled up close to the shore, the site was quite a treat. I took a short detour on my way to work and took this shot.
